wildly well woman
health, hormones and the feel good factor
Our late 30s and 40s are an important time in our lives in which the investment in our self care can reap huge rewards for our health in the long term.
To support you in feeling great about your health and hormones I offer a one day retreat-style workshop, a 7 week course, and online one to one coaching.
New one day retreat
A day for you to set aside time to really relax as well as understand your hormones and health in a new way.
One day to start planning great strategies for the long term. And to step away from the normal routine, experience connection, learning, and have someone else take care of the food, cups of tea and decision making.
This will include movement, education, meditation and a delicious and nutritious lunch and a reflexology or back and neck massage.
It's going to be a day of reflection, learning and setting you up for health for the long term.
It's going to be a great day, and a great opportunity to focus on you, your health, your pelvic floor and more.
When: Sunday 10th March 9:30am-4:30pm
Where: Penny Brohn, Ham Green, Pill
A perfect opportunity to get a taste of what it means to really make your health your priority, to understand your how your hormones affect your health, mood, metabolism and more and how that might change through your life.
This is a taster session for a full day retreat later in March but our aim is for you feel enthused and ready to take action on your own health in a sustainable way.
When: Friday 1st March 7:30-9PM
Where: Alma Vale Centre, Clifton, Bristol
Seven week workshop
This 7 week programme is going to pack a lot into your life. It's my intention to give you a little insight into the what, why and how to deal with of the perimenopause as well as exercise and relaxation.
Each class will include an introduction to aspects of health and wellness in the perimenopause as well as a 25 minute exercise session and 15 minute stretch and relaxation. Exercise, relaxation and good nutrition are the essential building blocks of a healthy life.
After each session I will send you a summary of what we covered and guidance on further reading and will invite you to a private Facebook group to continue the discussion online if you need it. There will be 'homework' - a workout to do at home, and some questions to answer.
How much: £135 for 7 weeks. Only 10 places available.
The next course begins in January. If you’d like to start thinking about some of the big areas to take action on you can sign up to my free online course here.
Week 1 & 2
What is the perimenopause anyway? What, why and when is the menopause?
An introduction to hormonal changes and what that might feel like for you. I'll talk a little about HRT and why it can be useful to get tested and ask for help.
Pelvic floor health and why we need to pay attention.
week 3 & 4
The impact of what we eat (and drink) in this life phase. What to avoid and limit and what to encourage. How to eat well when life is busy.
Sample exercise routines, easily repeatable at home.
Breathing and relaxation exercises.
Week 5, 6 & 7
The impact of stress and the importance of rest. Helping you create a strategy to get back to being you (not just wife, mum, colleague, volunteer, friend).
The final session will end with a guided meditation as well as hot tea and an opportunity to have a more informal conversation as a group.
There will be an opportunity to continue with an exercise programme with Wild Country Woman, take part in further monthly evening sessions which will focus on supporting us through the perimenopause or to work with me one-to-one as a personal trainer to really embed healthy changes into your life.
We hold regular taster sessions to give you an overview of the course as well as some key information to take with you and put into action to make the most of where you are right now.
The event will last approximately 2 hours, starting at 7pm and I will provide some light refreshments.
