Falling off the wagon

Have you fallen off the wagon again?

If this is something that adds to your current ‘battle’ with your health, weight, energy and mood then I’d like to help encourage a different vocabulary.

A different way of looking at that wagon.

Because sometimes there’s a lesson in the fall.

Maybe it was the wrong wagon.

Perhaps veganism doesn’t suit you.

Or keto, or gluten free, or dairy free or sugar free, or whatever ‘free’ you’re following.

Perhaps you chose the wrong gym, the wrong class, the wrong pair of trainers.

Perhaps turning your phone off at 9pm is fuelling not helping your anxiety.

Perhaps getting up early just isn’t your thing.

And then HOORAY. There’s where we find the lesson.

So, What DID you like about the wagon?

Was it trying new recipes, having some peace early in the morning, finding some new companions.

And what didn’t you like?

Too restrictive, too tired, too bored, too loud (I, for one, can NOT stand the music in gyms. Give me the dawn chorus anyday, but that’s my wagon).

And now you know those things.

Which wagon are you going to hitch a ride on now?

At least one plant based meal a week? Less bread more veg with your packed lunch? Try a couch to 5K or an outdoor fitness class? Some sessions with a personal trainer? Going for a swim while the kids have a gym class? Go to bed by 10pm 2 days a week?

The more you learn from those falls from the wagon, the more you gain for the next ride.

Am I stretching a metaphor too far?

Maybe.

But I reckon you get my drift.

And if you’d like some help with falling off and getting back on again, maybe I can help. I offer a 12 week coaching programme, delivered online or over the phonen. 1:1 coaching combined with the guidance, support and education to help you choose the wagon. Find out more here.
