6 years of women's health and fitness coaching

It’s never too late to start something new.

In December 2014 I started my Personal Training Diploma. 6 years ago as I write this post.

In my late 30s I thought I’d be the oldest, fattest, least fit person on the course. I was pretty intimidated before I set foot in the door.

Fortunately I’ve done plenty of intimidating things - a presentation to Chinese judges in Beijing, managing projects with university vice chancellors, picking up a phone to distressed children on a helpline, teaching English to Argentinian teenagers or running fundraising events for 100s of people  (I’ve had a wonderfully varied career).

SO, I walked in and did it anyway. It has led me on a journey into fitness, wellbeing, women’s wellness, and SO SO much more. I’ve had the privilege of working with 100s of women. Both 1:1 and in groups, face to face and online. Across different countries and timezones.

I am a different person as a result.

It was only the beginning of my education.

At that point I didn’t know where it would lead me.

I just took one step a time. Sometimes it felt like I was walking backwards. And this year has definitely been an interesting challenge.
I’ve had some amazing support along the way. Friends, colleagues in the same industry, business coaches, coaching groups and masterminds.

Why am I telling you this?

Because when it comes to your wellbeing it’s never too late to start, and it’s never too early. Now is the perfect time. Especially if you happen to be a women in perimenopause, working with hormone imbalance or just challenged by the demands of life.

You just keep taking one step forward at a time. You don’t have to have the whole answer. You might just need to focus on one area of your health. Sleep. Food. Movement. Connection.

And it’s not a competition. You can do it your own way.

You just have to start.

Sometimes you need a little help along the way, and that’s where I can come in. Accountability and nudges in my Wildly Well Woman mentorship group, or a more individual approach in my 1:1 coaching
